Result: Gore Court 5th IX 0-1 FOHC Men’s Development 8ths. Development

The first half was a very defensive game, with both teams cancelling each other’s attacks. Charlie Rouse and Simon Hunnibal defended at the back, Oakley Nicholls, Phil Gascoyne and Barry Lapthorn controlling mid field. Despite the best efforts of the forwards, the Core Court Goalkeeper kept a clean sheet.

Folkestone had the break minutes into the second half, when Logan ran free into the “D” and scored with a cracking shot. Gore Court went for the equaliser, but failed to break the defence, Goal Keeper Oisin Doyle made some match winning saves. Subs Andy Whitham and Alex McNeice were used to keep the pace up, and ran the game out for an away win.
