Ladies 5s H v K Sports

The ladies 5s had a home game against K Club, as it was a friendly it was a great opportunity for the younger members of the squad to all get involved and they rose to the challenge. It was a fairly even game to start with but this soon changed as we outpaced K Club from the defence through midfield to the forwards who took every opportunity. Thanks to Kendra Charman who went in goal for K Club, she made some great saves but we were eventually rewarded by a goal from Wendy Blackwell following a well worked short corner. A further goal was slammed past their defence by Hannah Wallace from another short corner. Vicky Jones picked up a loose ball in the D and put us 3 - 0 up. Demi Broome made some great runs up the wing and was eventually rewarded with her first senior goal which was quickly followed by her second! Player of the match was a joint affair between Demi Broome and Isla Gallagher, both of which the opposition asked if we could slow them down a bit. It was a fun and friendly game and our young defence worked well to keep a clean sheet giving us a 5 - 0 win.
